Basic Food Lion Information

What is the phone number to call if I have a problem?

If you have a question, concern or comment, please call our Customer Relations Department toll-free at 1-800-210-9569.

Does Food Lion accept coupons?

Yes! They accept manufacturer's coupons (including printables - YMMV) and their own Food Lion printable coupons.

Does Food Lion double coupons?

No.

Is there a limit to how many internet printables they will accept?

Yes. You may use one FL printable coupon per item per transaction. For example, you can use one baby food FL printable and mfg coupon, one soda FL printable and mfg coupon, ..... You cannot buy 2 sodas and use 2 FL printable coupons. You can redeem a maximum of 4 Food Lion printable coupons per transaction, per day.

Does Food Lion price match other store's sales?

Not that I know of.

Can I use more than one manufacturer’s coupon on a B1G1 free promotion?

The official company line is yes, but YMMV according to your store manager.

Is there a limit to how many coupons I can use in one transaction?

According to corporate, you can use one coupon per item.

Can I use coupons on clearance items?

Yes. If they give you a hard time, call corporate. They will straighten it out!

Weekly, on Wednesday mornings. You can view them at www.foodlion.com

I shop at a Foodlion in Cookeville and the last time me and DH were there, the cashier said that she and the other cashiers had to sign something that said they would not allow mulitple transactions by the same customer. I had two transactions planned and asked (pointing to DH) He's a customer and I'm another customer? She said, I don't see why not. We also have seperate MVP cards.

This is the first time any issue like this has come up.
Newer one or older one? Just last week we had no trouble at the older store with a younger cashier.

Does the vegetable flip work on the french fries and hash browns?

I haven't been to a FL in a full week Faint

My All coupons didn't make it in time Crying and i'm tired of buying capri suns and chicken Roll
But i'm planning on going on a roundtrip hitting up FL, so all hope isn't lost for me just yet.
Don't feel bad because I haven't found any of the food lions around here that had any of the All in stock. I guess everyone hit them up hard.

The coupon says one printer per customer. HOWEVER it further states one use per person, per transaction, per day etc. They are trying to cover all the bases. So if you have a few different MVP cards(and their is no rule against it) you could use them seperately. I would suggest different stores unless you want to argue with Coupon Nazi's.
I have noticed that in my little podunk area our FL cashiers are really scrutinizing the coupons, or at least attempting to. I guess FL wants to crack down on multiple uses or whatever but frankly they don't word their coupons accurately to ensure this.
I noticed yesterday that the vegetable Flip didn't scan and had to be manually entered. It is also useful on the steamable FL veggies in bags (like steamfresh).

My Food Lion is not very with it. I had a cashier tell me that they don't take internet printables a couple weeks ago but she scanned it and it went through. I just wish they could all get on the same page when it comes to coupons. But I wish that for all the stores not just Food Lion.

One of my favorite employees is my FB friend. She said daytimers are cracking down and pointing things out to management.
That really angers me.....well when I go back to work, I won't get off until like 4...so is that night time enough to shop do you think? Besides, iI am sure t won't be long before the same thing happens with the night time staff..

Why are they doing this? It is not like FL gets that much business in the first place..The parking lot is ALWAYS empty, and very rarely do they need more than one cashier at a time...I mean you can count on one (sometimes two) hands how many customers are in the store at one time...You would think they would be greatful for the business they can get out of these deals..I mean, nine times out of ten I wind up getting more than I go in the store for...so in the long run, I wind up spending my savings there anyway...

Hey is their a FL in Jamestown do you know? It doesn't take me but maybe 10 more minutes or so to go to Walmart in Jamestown vs Walmart in Crossville..so if there is one, I may start hitting FL in Jamestown..The thing is, I pass FL in Crossville every day when I go to work...wonder if DH comes across any on his way to work..I need to ask him..

I don't have multiple MVP's but you know what? I am going to get one for everyone in my house now that they are starting this garbage!

Jamestown is closing if it hasn't already.

Most of the teens come in around 4, so that will be perfect.

Meant to post this last week:
For all you perverts Rofl2 that still have Cool Whip left, here's a quick easy recipe even I can make:

1 tub of Cool Whip
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 small (4oz I think) plastic container lemon juice
1 graham cracker pie crust (not deep dish unless you double up the filling)

Use a hand mixer to combine Cool whip, milk, & lemon juice.
Spread evenly into pie crust & refrigerate until it sets up.

The pie should be ready in a few hours, but personally I like it better after its chilled a couple of days and the crust starts to get soggy. I'll even eat it without the crust. I haven't done so yet, but I want to try this and use pineapple juice instead of lemon.
