So.. had a deal pop up that I clicked on and tried to comment on it and when I tried, it said you aren't able to comment on this top secret slickdeals deal. I closed the app and opened back up and tried to find the deal again and it had vanished. Couldn't even find it by searching. This was for a $26 Blast Zone Crocodile Waterpark. Has anyone ever seen this? What was going on? Quite strange.. Is there a select few that only truly get the deals of the deals?? If so, how does one become part of this select group. Curious. Most curious.

I also saw this. I have no idea what it means, but you can find the item for $26 by searching "Crocodile Park Bounce with Balls" on eBay. It seems too good to be true, but some things that have seemed to be too good to be true have actually arrived Smilie

it was deleted from SD because it is more than likely that it's a scam item being sold on eBay. I got saw the original post, commented on it, and even viewed the item on eBay. it's most likely an item that will be cancelled after ordering when eBay sees all the rapid purchases.

It was deleted because it was against our rules. Seller only had 220 feedback and that falls below what we allow here. Please check our ebay policy thread

yeah that listing posted was sold out, and there were other similar listings. seemed very scammish to me, but I still bought one. then I saw another identical listing from a different seller and wished I hadnt bought it since it is most likely a scam of some sort. I had it all typed up but it wouldnt let me submit in the other thread.

That's understandable. Good idea. Curious as to how 220 was derived now haha. Suppose I'll have a look at the link. Thanks!

I still haven't received an ebay cancellation email but i suspect it'll arrive within a few hours. However, I did receive the notification for shipping with a china EMS tracking number (TBD what was actually shipped). when I first followed the link I decided to buy one in case it was a price mistake but immediately after finishing the payment I realized that it was definitely a scam. PayPal will absolutely still protect your investment, I would suggest contacting them after you receive a shipping notification and they will refund you the money if the product doesn't arrive within a set number of days or if the item received isn't as it was described.

Got the cancellation email from eBay. Money was already charged to my bank account.

FleaBay told me to get my money back from PayPal and PayPal is telling me the transaction looks fine.

Did you call them? Did you mention to them the email from ebay that mentioned fraudulent activity? If they fail to open a dispute for you I would just go log in to paypal and file the dispute manually. Sounds like you spoke to a bad CSR.

What are some of your success stories? Were these from ebay or from other deals posted on SD? I'm curious if many other people have had any success with these "too good to be true" eBay deals that look pretty clearly to be scams.

I can't remember any that were from Ebay. Mine says that it should arrive next Tuesday via China Post, but it hasn't even been shipped yet (based on the tracking link). Going to file a dispute with PayPal now, I guess.
