You get 10K points for each person who applies and approved through your referral link.

When you login to your AMEX account, look for "Refer a friend" option. After you click refer a friend, you can enter up to 3 email addresses to send your referral link to.

If you want to share your link to more than 3 persons, the trick is to enter your own email address. Once you receive the referral email, copy the application link in that email and share that link with others.

I already have the regular Hilton Honors card, can I get the bonus by upgrading it to the Surpass?

Thanks.

I went for the 75,000 point card from Citbank with no annual fee. I'm not sure the extra 25K points are worth the $75.

You will get 50K points for an upgrade. Keep in mind that

1) Your account must be opened for more than 12 months to be eligible for an upgrade

2) Because of the "once in a lifetime rule", once you upgrade your no-fee to surpass, you will no longer be able to get a sign-up bonus from surpass. Therefore, it is a good idea to apply for surpass (to get a sign-up bonus) before upgrade your no-fee card to surpass.

Hmm, I wonder if Amex would match the surpass upgrade offer to 100k. Doubt it, but might be worth a shot

this... Hilton points are realistically worth about 0.4 cents each... so you get about $400 worth of points but then you have to pay the annual fee... so this is an OK offer, but Amex should step it up. 200k points would be more like it.
