Stellar price for this macro lens. This mount is design for use for full frame digital SLR camera but may be used with smaller APS-C size sensors with a corresponding effective increase in focal length to about 150mm. Includes hood adapter, lens hood, front & rear lens cap - Discombobulated

389.99 for Canon, Nikon, and Sigma mounts. Usual price is around 620$. Good deal for a macro lens!

This is FP material. I could use and abuse this and flip it for more if not equal or minimum loss. Very nice deal. Even grey market on fleabay sells for more.

This seems like a really good deal. I've been eyeing the Canon 100mm L and the new Tamron 90mm.
Anyone have thoughts between all these?

Great price, great lens.

If you're on the fence about macro, there are cheaper ways to get into the game. I picked up a used Nikon manual focus 105mm 2.8 for next to nothing. It's not as nice as this lens, but then again I haven't used it too much. Turns out after some playing around I wasn't as interested in macro as I thought I'd be. From my experience, and after talking with my photo enthusiast friends, it seems fairly common for people to buy a macro then not use it after the initial novelty wears off.

Tamron just released a new version of their 90mm f2.8 macro lens, and even the previous one was arguably better than this aging Sigma variant. Might explain the price cut
