Waiting for the "good thing I got the i7 CPU, now facebook seems snappier" comment.

In all seriousness if you need this much CPU, this is a good deal. The CPU alone is $305 at Amazon and it scores 10000 on passmark And no, you don't need this much CPU for that many things, not even most 3D gaming. But if you do, have at it. Even with windows 10.

You need to install a graphics card (GTX 970 at minimum) to run the Oculus Rift, and to power that graphics card, you'd need a replacement power supply.

You could get the Graphics card and Power Supply upgrades for under $350, which brings the price for an Oculus-ready rig to around $750. That's a good price, all things considered, but no--this computer will not arrive ready to run any VR.

Note: According to jrinco11 (below), this does have a PCI-E x16 slot, so it should be prepared to accept a graphics card. You'd still need a power supply, and you might need a Dremel to make the graphics fit (in the somewhat likely event that the card is larger than the available space Smilie)

Just to throw a minimum upgrade list out there for anyone thinking about it:

Never heard anyone complain their computer is too fast. Great deal. This needs a SSD added though.

What's the size of the tower? Big enough to handle the GPU upgrade?

It's just unwise to buy a lot more CPU than you need. That extra money could be put into a video card or SSD drive.
