INSTRUCTIONS FOR LOADING ANDROID 6.0 MARSHMALLOW:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/m...a-t3342789

http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015 for the most part, this deals with all Moto E 2015 gen 2 type phones. There is a specific CDMA section for those types of problems. You can unlock this phone by using adb shell along with going to Motorola and getting the bootloader ulock code.
Then, depending on your carrier, sprint/R+, you may have to do some additional voodoo to get your APN settings done right and get an LTE signal. In addition, I myself somehow got a not good working bootloader, and now must manually push the power button to get the ROMs to load. (very few people will this happen to).
Also, support on XDA is lacking a bit, no replies to requests for help, and frequently you get some snot nosed 12 year old giving you the wrong info. Just my personal experience. Phone works great, and GPS is fast, does most everything someone wants with android.
/Dylan

NOT domestically unlocked! Won't work on anything other than Sprint and Sprint MVNO's

MIGHT work internationally. Check http://www.willmyphoneework.net

I have this phone along with several others from a $20 ZTE Speed to an iPhone 6s. This is the best phone you can find for under $50. At $30 it's a great deal.
Moto E is better than LG. Unlocked bootloader. Can root. Can load custom ROM (cm13 already wildly available). Built like a tank and rarely have people damaging it except one user here.

After April 17, if the phone was originally sold under Sprint Prepaid/Virgin Mobile/Boost Mobile, it has to be active under that carrier for 12 months before you can move it to a different one such as a MVNO (R+, Ting, etc). Phones that are already activated won't be affected but once it gets deactivated, you won't be able to register it until the 12months are met.

Haha, was gonna post 10 minutes ago but I made sure I ordered first. Last chance to get a decent prepaid phone for R+ before the FED requirement kicks in.

Luckily for me, as a BB Elite Rewards member, I got free shipping. Had $10 rewards I need to use within a week so this works.

OP, you may want to add "Free ship to store". Otherwise add $5.01 worth of fillers to get free shipping.

Do not get this phone. It is a POS. No flash, ugly, battery cannot be removed, and it is fragile. I broke one in my pocket with little pressure when I have had many others with no problem. I have the tribute 2 and huawai union which are both better choices.

will that mean that every Boost phone will require activation at time of purchase? or that they won't be able to be unlocked after purchase? for example, will we be able to buy phones for others as gift, or to resell?
