Car Insurance in Pennsylvania

michaelsee 58 21 April 4, 2016 at 11:53 AM
I previously used IFA Auto - which gave me liability only coverage for a year for $483 - they are no longer going to be licensed in Pennsylvania when my currently policy expires...so I'm looking for a new company.

I own my car, I only need the bare minimums of coverage, and I'm willing to walk away from the car with no return if I"m in an accident.

Any suggestions for companies I should consider?

All the major ones have given me quotes of over $1000/year

I used to use Progressive here(Northeastern corner of the state) when I had a car a few years ago. They were OK, plus at least on their website you can see quotes from other companies while getting one from them.

Go to an independent Insurance agent. They will be able to get multiple quotes for you so you can comparison shop.
