Good deal.
Stop posting hold out.Hold out is always for losers.
The only reason you hold out is you can't afford it.
Now you wait for new product. When it comes you will wait for lower price deal.

Good deal. If my mid 2012 pro wasn't still humming along like a trooper, I'd be all over this.

I need to replace my very old MacBook (2007), but it has a 256GB hard drive and I literally ran out of space years ago.

Will there ever be a good deal on a model with a larger SSD, or should I just accept the annoyance of having to use an external drive?

Good price. $100 cheaper than the refurbished Apple price (plus no tax).

Well configured too! Just wish they were using more powerful processors in these and not that dang USB C connector.

Having a 13.3" MBA, really not seeing how people could use a 12". Good deal here.

This is a "like it or loathe it" product, so you should probably only get it at this price if you really love it and aren't put off by the relatively low power, different keyboard, and USB-C-only. I really wanted to get this for my sister due to its light weight, but I'll wait for a new version to see if Apple addresses concerns about this relatively new product line.

Really depends on what you use your laptop for. Over the years I have had Apple laptops in 15", 13" and now 11" and Im loving the size the MBA 11.6" these days. But Im mostly only using it for data consumption. If Im wanting to get some real work done I found even a Retina 15" wasnt good for me, I needed to plug into an external 24"+ monitor.

Two reasons you might prefer the 12" MacBook: Display and Display. The MBA does not have Retina nor is it even IPS. If you use your laptop in good lighting all the time, it may not be an issue. But if you like the bright, easy-on-the-eyes Retina display, or if you want to increase the size of items on the display, you can only do that properly with a Retina. (Well, at least under OS X... If you load Windows 10 on an MBA, you can run probably the display at 125%, 150%, or 175% without it looking like crap as it does in OS X.) Smilie

Those unaware should read into the core M before they buy. In my experience, the processor is very battery friendly and allows for thin laptops. However, I've wished it was faster more often than not.
