It's a mechanical watch that uses only gears, springs, and magic to keep track of the time and date. No circuit board, no battery, no lines of code, etc. It's actually fascinating how it can keep track of these things purely mechanically. More advanced mechanical watches can even track moon phases, leap years, etc. That makes these watches art and people will pay for that.
