For some unknown reason I have been getting the magazine for free for years. I have no idea how it happened but I enjoy the free subscription.

When i try it just says "This magazine is no longer available through DiscountMags.com"

i had clicked add to cart for 4 years on the way to work from my phone, so i just checked my phone, it was still there and i was able to check out. is my order going to actually get fulfilled?

is there a way to get the insider access as soon as i buy, or do i have to wait for my first issue?

ESPN does come along as a freebie, but there isn't a current free offer for it right now. If it's something you'd be interested in, you may want to create a deal alert for the free magazine forum here at SD - so as soon as it shows up again, you'll be able to get it.

It's often available for short periods of time from RewardSurvey. RS is a site where one survey is available each week. Since ESPN will 'cost' more than one survey - you may want to do a few surveys in the meantime...so when it's available again, you can immediately redeem.

IIRC ESPN was 26 Issues for $27 Reward Pts

Some folks don't want to mess with the freebies, which I can appreciate, but here are the details.

RewardSurvey
www.rewardsurvey.com

You register at RS (I used a disposable email address) and fill out the current survey. It takes me less than a minute to do it - I just tick down and choose the last answer for each question.

Done.

Now you have $20 Reward Pts. You may be offered to do another survey to pick up another $20 Reward Pts. If not, you can 'refer a friend' to pick up $15 more pts. Don't refer real friends - just use disposable email addresses. Or, you can just wait until another survey is available - each week - worth $20 Reward Pts.

When you fill in the delivery information for your magazine(s) - you don't need to fill in company name and title - I just put a lower case "x" in those fields.

* No career/business information is needed
* No cc/payment info is taken.
* No auto-renew

No...there is no immediate Insider access when you order thru a third party vendor. You have to wait for the order to be processed by DM and then sent to ESPN and wait for ESPN to process your order.

Your acct # will be on your mailing label and you will use that to activate Insider.

You can often view your account details (and retrieve your acct # and activate Insider) on the ESPN website before you receive your issue. If available, it will take a few weeks to show up after you order. YMMV

I probably wouldn't activate insider again with the mag. They make you enter payment info. And you have to call before it is going to auto renew to cancel. That would be one thing but they had me answer random questions about my like 10 year or more old ESPN.com that I had to answer correctly to cancel. I had updated my info on the site since I first registered but they were looking at some old info I entered when I original registered. It was rather annoying. There is no reason they couldn't just allow you to cancel on the website by just logging in like any other normal website.

Just had to cancel the renewal since it was going to be $45. This is perfect timing.
