Best 60" - 65" 4k 3d tv for the money

IN33DD3ALS 1 10 April 7, 2016 at 09:45 AM
Been a long time browser and this is my first call for assistance. I am looking for some input on the best deal for a 4k 3d tv between 60-65 inches curved or not curved. I want to be in the price range of $1000-$1500. Positve and helpful input on my decision are greatly appreciated.

TV will be located in a corner with no windows but on the opposite side catty corner there are 2 larger windows that will have darker curtains during TV time approximately 17 feet away.

Thanks All

3D is a fad and 4K is a gimmick

I don't think it's worth it to pay extra for 3d. 4k can be worth it depending on your viewing situation.

You are limited with options in that price range. I've seen some LG options, but they get terrible reviews on rtings.com. My preference, and what I purchased from buydig via eBay on a slickdeal is the Samsung UN65JS8500. Amazing tv and very sleek and thin. I got mine for $1850, I think it's been $1799 or $1750 since. I compared it to other options at stores and was blown away by it. May be worth the splurge, or saving up a bit longer :-)

Best gaming TV for the money would be the Vizio D series. $899 for 65"on sale most places and has the lowest lag of ANY TV and has very good picture compared to the LG's, which sadly have pretty poor picture quality despite a slick OS/smart features... 3D IS going away until glasses-free 3D comes along. Anyway, if for some reason you think Vizio is poor, well ,they aren't any more and you can also add a 3 year warranty for $59 at Costco, no matter where you buy the TV.

yes "4k" is really 2160p... 3840x2160 to be exact. 4K comes from rounding up of the 3840 portion. It is double the pixels each direction than a 1080p.

yeah ty.

but now i read if u sit more then 6 feet away 4k may not be worth it? i took approx measurement from tv to couch and its 8.5 feet 9 ft if recline back some.
i see some great deals on this size tv with 1080 p.

my biggest problem on my 3 year old panny 50 is the dark scenes the blacks so dark have hard time seeing whats on screen!
