Just got an email from Microsoft. Although its not a hot deal, still you can claim free 1 year access to Office 365

We want to inform you about some upcoming changes to OneDrive. On 7/13/2016, the amount of storage that comes with OneDrive will change from 15 GB to 5 GB. We are also discontinuing the 15 GB camera roll bonus. You can learn more at our FAQ. You will be below your storage limit when these changes take effect. You can visit the s [microsoftemails.com]torage page to check your account status and the status of storage promotions you may have redeemed. To ease this transition, claim a free one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal. [microsoftstore.com]* This subscription includes 1 TB of OneDrive storage.Alternatively, you can purchase additional storage or choose to remove some files. We realize these are big changes to a service you rely on. We want to apologize for any inconvenience they may cause you. We made a difficult decision, but it's one that will let us sustainably operate OneDrive into the future.Thank you for using OneDrive.

This is the email I got:
Quote :
As you know, the amount of storage that comes with most OneDrive accounts is changing from 15 GB to 5 GB. You previously confirmed your desire to keep your 15 GB of free storage (and the 15 GB camera roll bonus if you have it).* As a result, your account will not be affected by these changes.

We want to apologize for any inconvenience these changes may have caused you. We listened to our users’ feedback, and we are committed to making OneDrive the best option for people who want to be productive and do more.

Thank you for using OneDrive.

Again Confused Last time they did it, but then relented and gave an option to opt-out of the decrease.

I haven't received that email yet..

A horde of companies all jumped on the band wagon not too long ago to offer a crap load of cloud storage, and now we see some (Copy for example) closing up or just significantly reducing their offerings as in this case. I can almost guarantee that the business models all included getting people "hooked" on a load of free storage, then people have a load of files stored they reduce the office and begin to charge for the higher storage limit. Who really wants to take the time to move all the files again, instead just easier to start paying. Those who can't get people to make that move just close shop.

I thought they already did this and allowed you to opt-out if you wanted to keep your storage?

With no increase to the current average upload speeds, it was supposed to happen sooner or later. See you in 2100.

Must be targeted as nothing changing here.

Just looked and have:

Current Plan:
15 GB Free

Additional Storage:
Referral Bonus 1 GB
Bing Bonus 100 GB (Valid through 2/9/2017)
Camera Roll Bonus 15 GB

EDIT: Quick Google search and the only places this shows up is this thread. Think if it was legit, it would be all over the net.
