Buying a $2300 laptop at Best Buy -- Anything I can do to lower the total ?

ahmadka 675 365 April 7, 2016 at 02:37 PM More Best Buy Deals
Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying this laptop at Best Buy:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-.../4550500.p

It's pretty expensive, so can I do something to lower the total ? Any student discounts or other $100 off something coupons, etc .. ?

Sadly, this specific laptop is only available at Best Buy, so I can't get it from anywhere else ?

This laptop seems about 500+ dollars overpriced.

Buy a 10% off movers coupon from ebay. The kind you can use online so you don't have to deal with the clueless employees trying to tell you that you can't use the coupon.

I tried looking on ebay for a "movers" coupon for best buy but couldn't find any. Could you give an example link maybe ?

There are some 10% and such best buy coupons, but they can't be applied to laptops as far as I can tell.

The laptop is indeed very overpriced, but I can't find the exact model with 16 GB ram and 1 TB SSD anywhere other than best buy. Either 32 GB ram (which shoots the price up), or 512 GB SSD, if that will do. Here is what I found for the latter:

It is $2000, where you can also get a 10% education discount, and it qualifies for the laptop trade in program where you can bring in a laptop to trade in. But, the only spec that is different is the 512 GB SSD instead of 1 TP, as far as I can tell.
