If you refer to your husband/wife as 'DH/DW', you're too old to be active on a forum.

If you ask for marriage advice on a(ny) forum, you should seriously reevaluate your life.

If you don't know the difference between 'their', 'there', and 'they're', I automatically assume you have a mental disability (same goes for to/two/too and your/you're/yore).

It's horrible how lazy some companies are. I've edited some of those types of documents where it's an egregious boilerplate load of BS and sent them back with crossed out edits, no one even noticed.

Have to cover all their bases. I would agree it's old template stuff but who knows what someone might try and use.

I think I still have a zip drive somewhere. I'm pretty sure I couldn't connect out to my current computer though.

I would laugh but I actually recall one of these being circumvented simply because the legal document did not mention old school floppy drives and simply barred the use of usb and CD/DVD drives.

Looks dumb but there is a very good reason the fine print is so massively large in these things. People have managed to argue out of the use of "etc" or "anything like that" so now we have these ridiculous clauses.

it says "any storage device containing electronic data" which means they have defined the limit, would analog data not be covered, are pictures.

I agree they have to be careful but a better way would be to limit what not how.

I cannot disclose any information, to include any specification, function, usability defects or issues related to the beta until released by the company. I cannot share the information with anyone or post the information in any form without written approval. If approached by law enforcement with a written warrant I will contact the company first to notify them and arrange legal counsel etc...

It's worth noting that in some cases NDA's and other documents from the HR dept contain clauses that are completely unenforceable from a legal stand point (and the HR dept knows it).

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

Oddly enough most of the beta tests I have been involved with tend to be low key or just not interesting enough. Stuff is more mundane than people think, keyboards, modems, routers, bluetooth locks but no earthshaking features.

This is the web site if anyone is interested, it is fun but can be a lot of work, I have been involved in a long term beta for over a year and am expected to report every day.
