OK....so I bought this faucet 2-3 years ago on pretty much the same deal. I'll warn you right now (and I'm not kidding): This faucet will ruin you for every other faucet you encounter.

It just does.

I have been waiting forEVER for this to drop (forever = 1 year). Can't wait to put this bad boy in. I had an alert on Price Tracktor when I woke up, bought it before I did anything else this morning.

To those raving about this faucet, is it just because of the motion sensing? Is there something else that's amazing about it, to make me replace a perfectly-functioning faucet?

If you don't think the motion sensing is worth an extra $100, consider this one:

you guys are 100% right - i am so used to using the motion sense sometimes I just by habit wave over other faucets even outside my home. It's a tremendous convenience especially when your hands are messy and you don't want to touch anything.

I had a problem with the sprayer and they promptly sent a replacement that worked just fine, so customer service (in warranty) was good too.

read some reviews about leaks and such?

Certainly it would not generate the high ranks if they all leaked, but has anyone encountered this? I am debating on getting one

Thanks for the link. I'm putting in new countertops and was shopping around for a new faucet. Always liked Moen but don't really want to spend the extra $$ on the motion sense ones. The style you linked to is nice. Will also look at other ones. Thanks again.

I can't say that it's hard to install (but I did have my handyman do it). there's a battery pack that has to be put in but I don't think it's very difficult. I think it's a YMMV depending on where it's being installed in your home and if it's already setup to just put it in.

It took my handyman probably about an hour to take out the old one, then install the new one and drill in a place to put the battery pack. Speaking of that, you might want rechargable batteries or buy the adapter so that it's plugged into an outlet and you don't have to use the battery pack.

I just bought this a few months ago and it was a piece of cake to install. No technical knowledge needed. as long as you can turn a wrench, you should be fine. As for the faucet itself, we're still getting used to it. I like it more than my wife does. The sensor is a little temperamental, which is what takes some getting used to it, but we're warming up to it. Overall, I'm happy with it.
