hard to jump on this when the new ones are coming out in a couple months
this seems to be the best deal offered on the latest macbook 256gb/8gb ram, especially with no tax for most buyers.

everytime a macbook goes on slickdeals, the waiting/buying see-saw inevitably rolls in. sure waiting is an option, but the new ones are going to be full price and way more expensive. if you have no need for a laptop now, ok wait it out. but if you want a mac, another option is to buy this, use it for a bit until the new ones are out and have some deals, and then sell this for a decent price. it'll be attractive to buy because a lot of the apple warranty will be left, and with a deal like this, you shouldnt lose too much money selling it.

either way, best deal for this laptop so far.
It is called "you have no f'n clue what you are talking about" syndrome.

These are consistently, year after year, the best reviewed laptops in the world.

The total cost of ownership of these things is amazingly low. They hardly need repaired and they maintain their value like no other laptop in the world. You can sell a 4 year old MacBook for a very high percentage of the initial purchase.

Try to sell a 4 year old Dell on eBay and see how much you get.

I think you're missing the point. The point is that a price drop is near, so if you want this model, it can pay off to wait a little bit.
