Looking for a gaming laptop for my daughters birthday

Looking for a gaming laptop for my daughters 16th birthday.
She mostly plays Steam games, but I would like it to be be able
to play more higher end graphic intense games if she decides to go that direction.

I am willing to send up to $1200, but I don't want to overspend if not needed.
She currently has an older HP Envy Ultrabook 4-1030us with integrated graphics which does her no justice for gaming.

I would like to keep it to a 15.6" or smaller screen as she has a nice monitor.

Any help would be appreciated. Smilie

I have been eyeing the MSI model below as I prefer 17 inch laptops. Comes with a 6700HQ proc, 7200 RPM drive and a 960M for $999. They have a 15.6 inch model with a 12 GB ram instead of 8GB for the same price if that suits you better, but I rather have the larger screen personally. Been waiting to see what the reviews are like as it seems to be fairly new. Also seems to be $999 everywhere, so shop around for a place that does not charge you sales tax, i.e., buy from an out of state merchant.
