I own the 43" Sharp Roku TV from Best Buy and this Haier looks like it uses the identical frame for the TV as the Sharp Roku. Likewise for all Insignia Roku TVs, in fact. (The TCL Roku TVs use a different frame, though.) Just compare images of the back inputs, the side inputs, the buttons, etc. for the Insignia, Sharp, and Haier Roku TVs, they are totally identical. In fact, the specs (apart from screen size) are very similar as well. I don't know what the guts of the Haier look like, but if it's using the exact same frame, I can't imagine the guts are entirely different. Could it be all the Roku TVs (or at least the Insignia, Sharp, and Haier ones) are comparable? There are tons of reviews of the Insignia and Sharp Roku TVs and generally speaking, they are good. They won't blow you away but even CNET gave them positive reviews. I personally love my Sharp Roku TV and I've had zero issues with it. I'd guess the Haier Roku TV is as good as the Sharp and Insignia TVs and at this price, it's a steal. Plus, the extended warranty prices are dirt cheap so you can protect against potential issues for up to 4 years. I'm gonna pull the trigger, thanks OP!
but it is 60Hz....

Under specifications the mfg part number lists a "R" at the end of the 49E4500. Reviews are out there but very few.

Thanks for the feedback! pls come back and update us with your experience. I may need to get this later in August for the other room. Hopefully it'll go down in price again during Back-To-School.

Looking for a TV for the basement. This seems to fit the bill nicely. Nothing crazy that's going to break the bank.
