I don't know, in my experience, they always lose connection. Also their ink in expensive as crap and when I'd get aftermarket ink it would never work correct. I use an Epsom printer now and pay $20 total for 3 of each cartridge totaling 12 total. Then trade them into staples for $2 each now that's a deal!

I would pull the trigger on this if the toner was 11$.

I've been using this printer for the past 6 months or so and haven't had any issues with it. Using generic toner cartridge that I found on Amazon and it prints just fine still. I think I ended up paying around $40 for the printer when I got it. I bought it for the wireless as printing from all the different devices in my house was getting to be a pain with my old printer.

pulled the trigger! found a 10$ toner refill on ebay so this is sweet. How did you get 40$ on the printer?

I think it was a visa checkout deal where you had to spend $100 at Staples and got $30 something back. I bought 2x of these at $50 and a friend took the other one. After tax and discount it was just under $40 each.

Even though Dell printers were mostly made by Lexmark in the past, this printer is made by Brother I believe. It uses the same toner as the Brother TN-630 or TN-660. I'm told the gear may be a little different. There will likely be very cheap compatibles available for it.

I bought 2 of these around black friday from staples; 2 for ~70, actual print quality is fine, haven't had to change the toner out yet though. However the main reason I bought them was their built in wifi which has been a complete pain. Even updating the firmware doesn't work, they get stuck in a deep sleep mode and have to be plugged directly to usb to do any printing.

Well I guess I have a mono laser on the way.

Really wanted color... But haven't seen a color for less than a hundred.

I remember. Was it the same exact model? I think it was like $30-$35 each, some 4-6 months back. Many orders got cancelled that time.
Update: you are right it was close to $80 including tax for two of these.
