Where to get Unlock code for LG 450 - TMobile?

ms2000 1,309 28 April 13, 2016 at 09:21 PM
I need Unlock code for LG 450 - TMobile branded.

Last time TM gave me a code but it did not work.

Where can I get the unlock code, perhaps unofficially?

Try whatever code / instructions they gave you again. Put a non-tmobile sim card in the phone first. Variations of this phone can be had very cheaply at times for AT&T / tracfone / net10. Somebody had them for $1 on black friday if memory serves, hardly worth whatever you might pay for an unlock code that might not work.

If you called Tmobile and they gave you instructions/code and it didn't work I would call them back.

I mean the LG440 / 441 are basically the same phone as the 450. These phones locked to tracfone, net10, and at&t have been on sale for as low as $1. They're routinely <$15. If yo u bought an unlock code from a sketchy website there's not guarantee it would work and you could easily spend more than the phone is worth.

If t-mobile was willing to give you an unlock code, you should peruse that more. Follow the instructions very carefully.

Why do you want to unlock this phone anyways?

Thanks for the info about LG440 - when were they on sale for $1 - I would need to unlock so AT&T is the option and not net0 or tracfone - but are u sure ATT has it?

I followed the instructions - did not work - so I can use when I travel and also with AT&T

BTW - I first paid $20 for the LG450 - later got the SD deal at Walgreen - my store is charging $13 + $1 wireless fee which I never heard before.

Tracfone's phones can't be unlocked. That supposed to change, but hasn't yet. The $1 sale was black friday at familydollar.

You can get a ZTE model Z222 go phone for $7.49 at best buy, it's a similar phone that will work on AT&T. Loots like the equivalent LG model GoPhone is the LG B470, but relative to smart phones it's not worth what AT&T charges for it.
