I've added screenshots of my T20 in BIOS and then booting to Windows 10 pro fine with 8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill Ripjaws. About as common as it gets. Edit: also adding an image of using G.Skill and single OEM stick for 12GB total

Another poster posted the (incorrect) information below. The confusion is that the chipset can support non-ECC but the motherboard requires ECC. We have a bunch of these, non-ECC will not work in these. Note the CPU matters as clarified in the links posted below - it's the stock combination that requires ECC RAM
================================================
These servers work fine with unbuffered ECC or NON-ECC RA].

See Post HERE
and HERE

Please disregard WyldWolf's incorrect<sic> [note: WyldWolf is correct] comments. Sorry for the confusion. Edit: The T20 will support non-ecc, I have non ecc DDR3 dimms currently in mine!

I have 2 of this servers, I can confirm non-ECC ram works just fine. Just regular DDR3 desktop ram should work.

32gb max I have mult of these. Beware that ECC RAM is absolutely 100% required and it will NOT post with non-ECC RAM. Again, I have 4 of these T20s and six T110s the T20's with the 1225v3 and the T110s with same CPU fully support ESXi6 just be careful if adding expansion cards especially quad NICs because the PCIx is NOT backward compatible and certain PCIx 1.0 cards will not work properly - I worked with Dell to confirm this.
I got this server for 280 a couple months back and I think it was completely worth it. Low power consumption, makes 0 noise, and can encode 3 1080P Plex streams. Only negative is it only has 4 sata ports on the motherboard. Remedied that with a cheap two port pci card. Dunno about this rebate crap but the product is great.

No issue in using Dell Rewards gift code from a previous purchase as far as the SD rebate is concerned, right?

I agree there is a conflict of interest, but IMO, you have to view it as advertising costs help get us a cheaper price for stuff (normally). The "normally" bit is because this site is just an ad delivery mechanism, and some "deals" are better than others. This, I believe, is a deal.. so long as you don't mind dotting your i's and crossing your t's

I'd buy it, but not with that stupid slickdeals rebate. I just will not do it.
