IMO a good deal. The X220 was a wonderfully solid and small machine. The hardware's a bit old - four years? - but still a lot more powerful than what you'd usually find at this price.

Anyone know if the batteries are new?

Just saw this deal in my inbox and was wondering what others thought.

I bought a T420 last summer and replaced the HDD with a SSD and it has ran very well for me. The screen is sub par and I'm guessing that is also the case with this model

bought one of these from Walmart a couple months ago. 290ish I think. when it came in though it was actually an x230. pretty good score.

everything but the screen is pretty awesome specs. Think the screen might be a dealbreaker though.

just sad that this i7 is likely an old socket Mobo so dont even think about trying to upgrade graphics gpu... so uses are limited... it really is worth a couple hundred more to get updated gpu IMO.. even if less powerful cpu

Excellent laptop (we have two).

However I'd opt for the 9 cell battery and IPS display. You can add the IPS display later.

With the SSD, this laptop performs great and is better built then most of the current craptops out there.

Bought one of these about 2 weeks ago for $219 (similar specs, 4GB ram, 128GB SSD). It took 5 days to ship, but arrived 2 days later. Might pick this one up as well, totally worth the $40 for more RAM and storage.

The one I got was in tip-top condition, looks to have sat on a desk for its entire life. No wear on keyboard, trackpad, lid, minor scuffs on the bottom. Refurb.io website mentions they use skins, but mine does not have any.

6-cell battery was not new, had 41 cycles, but was down to 51% capacity. Came with a genuine Lenovo 65w charger. 128GB SSD was a Micron c400, single stick of Samsung 4GB RAM. I added another 4GB RAM, a USB 3.0 Expresscard adapter, and a used IPS screen from s230u i found on ebay for $35 shipped. Took less than 10mins to swap out the screen, and makes a HUGE difference. Be warned, most sellers including Amazon are selling screens that you have to tape into place and do not have the mounting brackets.

Comes with a refurbished COA for win7pro, refurb.io's website has instructions for making a USB recovery disk.

The x220's got average sound/speakers, and the Intel HD 3000 graphics aren't the best, but it can minecraft. It also has an mSATA slot so you can add another SSD.
