Good deal on a great pair of headphones. Only thing "special" about this edition is that they're black and they come with an additional cable. Amp is not required to power these but you will see a noticeable improvement.

Remember these are "open" headphones, meaning they do not block outside sounds and those close to you will be able to hear what you are listening to.

As some pointed out, you can wait about 12 months and you might save another 20% or so. But if you have an immediate need, there isn't a better open-backed set of headphones available at this price. (Not ideal if you want to thump your head with hard hitting bass, but phenomenal above 60 Hz or so. I've owned a pair for a few years now, use them almost daily.)

incredible set of entry-level open headphones.

i bought mine for $189 3 years ago. worth every penny.

i'm sure this drops to $99 during black friday from amazon, but you gonna wait 7 months for a mere $29?

the best part about these headphones is that you don't need an amp to power these.

Also confy as hell, i could wear these all day. i delegated these to just PC gaming, but when they used to be my main music cans they used to deliver a great sounstage and the sound profile is very lively.

i liked these so much i dropped $300 for their hd650 which i use mainly for music.

Cool story, but until you have a time machine, that's not very actionable information.

If you can wait another year, you don't need these and probably shouldn't buy them anyway.

Christopher, those in the market for such headphones would certainly like to know they were previously a much lower price. but I suppose you forgot your xanax and continue to whine.

Those in the market don't care. They want the best price available, and this is the best price available. Those who are actually in the market and need a pair of good headphones will get this. Those who are deal hunters and buy something because it is a good price even though they don't need it will likely skip out on this go.

You're mentally unable to escape from the sunk cost fallacy. Failure to act on last year's deal does not affect the price you can get the product for today. This means you're the latter, and you're not actually in the market for headphones. You're in the market for a deal.
