I'm in for one. Been waiting for the precip, the marmot minimalist or Patagonia torrentshell to go on sale. These all have pitzips.

I have this in M. I'm 5' 8" 190 lbs with athletic build. It fits well and kinda slim for me with a sweater underneath. I'm usually between a M and L in jackets depending on brand.

Oooh. I love me some "mar MOTT" (or is it "mar MOE"). Either way it's good stuff.

Gonna pick one out I think.

[Edit] Extra bonus feature is "Angel-Wing Movement construction"
So even though they say "you can't take it with you" maybe this would be useful in the afterlife. That would be an extra-Slick Deal!

Sorry to go against my excited review just above. But I started wondering what sort of material this is. It seems to be a "coated" material. I found this on the REI site (where the jacket sells for $99). I know it's just one review and so as all reviews it should be taken YMMV:
Great jacket. I bought mine in December 2011. After four rain seasons, I started to find little weird flecks of patterned material in my hair. It took a long time to realize the liner was falling apart. Upon closer inspection, the liner was almost completely deteriorated in the hood, and along the shoulders. I didn't wash it in hot water or even wash it at all more than a few times. I guess with most products today four years is pretty good. I had hoped for better with REI. My North Face fleece is still going strong after five years. This year I have worn it almost everyday, but again, I had hoped for a few more years - or even to get to the end of this particularly My wife says the black duct tape I applied to the jacket to keep the liner from coming off in my hair / shoulders looks stupid so I'm going to have to accelerate my purchase of another.
and this somewhat language-limited review.
Precip membrane is very bad.
I also use your Gore-Tex jacket, I was very pleased. But precip jacket membrane so bad. Not waterproof !!!

From my experience I have Eddie Bauer Gore-Tex that has been great for about 20 years. I know a lot of other EB stuff isn't that great, but honestly that was one of the best lines they ever sold. Even though this Mar-MOE jacket is about 1/2-off, I'm now thinking I'll hold out for the premium stuff.

just need to be careful washing this jacket. somehow my first washing caused it lose the water repelling layer even though I followed the instructions.

they did try to repair it but eventually offered me credit thru their corporate store instead.
