AMAZON Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong Deal with 5% S&S Discount

Total Paid for the toilet tissue = $18.07

Each roll has 340 - 4" x 4" sheets
24 rolls x 340 sheets = 8,160 total sheets
Total square feet = 906.6

$18.07 ÷ 8,160 sheets = $0.0022144608 per sheet
$18.07 ÷ 906.6 sq.ft. = $0.0199316126 per sq.ft.

COSTCO Quilted Northern Ultra Plush Deal
30 Jumbo Roll Pack $19.99 In-Warehouse Price - $4.00 Instant Coupon =
Total Paid for the toilet tissue = $15.99

Each Jumbo Roll has 267 - 4.5" x 4" sheets
30 rolls x 267 sheets = 8,010 total sheets
Total square feet = 1000.2

$15.99 ÷ 8,010 sheets = $0.0019962547 per sheet
$15.99 ÷ 1,000.2 sq.ft. = $0.0159868026 per sq.ft.

If you multiply that times the 2,816 total square feet in the Staples deal below,
Costco would be $45.02 for the same thing, or in other words....

** COSTCO's price is about 14% LESS **

You mean the double rolls? 48 regular rolls worth is less than 93 regular rolls worth.

Not saying I gives this deal a TU, just that I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

Pretty good deal, although I cannot attest to the quality/durability. I like their ultra plush or Charmin ultra soft.

This variety, with the coupon the price per sheet/square is $0.00246.

What seems to be about the standard price ($17) for the 30 pack of QN ultra plush is $0.00322 per square.

And I think the last one left in my calculator was maybe a slickdeal from last week at Staples for Charmin ultra soft at $21, it was $0.00379 per square. I think that was a 18 pack mega roll.

So this deal is definitely good. Can someone comment on quality, especially as it relates to ultra plush and ultra soft?

Thanks

If someone is waiting for the guy who likes math to chime in, here goes.

Price per square foot is 1.59 cents (at 15% S&S level). That's based on 981.5 square feet on that equivalent of 93 regular rolls.

My regular buy is Wegmans (regional grocery store brand) 2 ply that's got an everyday price of 1.14 cents per square foot (which comes in a Family Pack for $15.99) so it's not some crazy huge stockpile. Chase Freedom is doing 5% cashback on grocery store purchases (and warehouse clubs) this quarter, by the way. That's something else to consider.

Maybe this will help some decide. Probably not.

Edit: Removed a paragraph above where I misread and thought this deal was 3 ply. It's only 2 ply, which makes this easier to compare with other standard 2 ply rolls.

I realize my comparison is not apples to apples, either, because this is 3 ply. What you need to decide for yourself is what do you need...2 ply or 3 ply? I can't do the Scott's 1 ply, though. I just wind up using a bunch more.

Maybe this will help some decide. Probably not.

Am I reading this right? Supreme rolls? The Mega rolls already almost don't fit and rub the wall when you put them in a toilet paper dispenser. If the Supreme rolls are bigger than the Mega, you better have an industrial toilet paper dispenser. yummy

Yep. If you look at the back of the package, there is a manufacturer's guarantee that they will give you your money back if they don't fit (lol).

All these silly marketing terms for rolls are getting ridiculous don't you think? For what it's worth, the Wegmans I use are 400 sheets per roll. These "supreme" rolls have 340 sheets. I have no problem fitting 400 sheets per roll on my dispensers (house built in 2003).
