This phone works on Ringplus before April 17. I bought one about a month ago. I activated on the Ringlus under the Infinity plan.

The specs:

It is the same as Tribute 2.

From the Wiki in this thread

FED - PLEASE READ ... Important Activation Notice Regarding Prepaid Phones referred to as FED = Financial Eligibility Date (sometimes people use FEC=Financial Eligibility Check) https://social.ringplus.net/discu...-phones/p1
Starting April 17, 2016, per our carrier partner Sprint, Members and potential Members will no longer be able to activate prepaid devices which are not eligible under Sprint's FED policies (explained below). Such prepaid devices will no longer pass FED until actual eligibility date is met. This is not a new Sprint policy. It is merely a system update to the Sprint system to comply with Sprint's existing FED policies, and to close the gap in the system that allowed such devices to pass FED and be activated on carriers other than those that originally sold the device ("originating carrier").

FED - Starting 4/17, in order to activate a Sprint/Boot/Virgin prepaid phone with RingPlus, the phone must have been active with its original carrier for 12 months.
Already activated phones are not affected because they will not trigger the rule.
But if you deactivate a phone, you will trigger the rule when you (re)activate the phone.
You will no longer be able to activate a new-in-box Sprint/Boost/Virgin prepaid phone (e.g., from Best Buy) with RingPlus.
Upgrading a line to a different plan is NOT an activation, but swapping to an inactive phone will mean an FED check

It is a good deal if you want to jump on the flash promo today.
UPDATE: Ageless was re-opened in error and has been closed. https://social.ringplus.net/discu...-reopen/p1

After tomorrow, will Spring prepaid phones not work, either? Then what phones will work, besides Sprint post-paid and those sold by RP?

Correct, they will not work
Only Sprint, Boost, and Virgin prepaid that have been active on the original carrier for 12 months will pass the new FED (Financial Eligibility Date) requirement.

There was another thread about someone's phone that stopped working today after an OTA update even though it was already registered and working on FP.

Are we going to sue Sprint or what? Just think FP and R+ customers sue Sprint. It should be fun.

Make sure you use the RingPlus Device Check tool when you're at Best Buy. I ran into some phones that did not pass, and got a good one by reaching toward the back of the stack.

Stick Out Tongue

Not really. The provisioning flow will block FED ineligible phones from being activated on new lines but I WOULD test if it happens/enforced for swaps Wink

I went to BB to get one of these thinking it will be $30. Looking around I noticed the Virgin version was $10! I grabbed the last one on the rack. Cashier had to override the price since still rang at $30.

Tinkey Park, IL
SKU 4353300
Model LGLS665AVB
VIRGIN MOBILE LG TRIBUTE 2

Already swapped from the $2 Alcatel flip placeholder I had...

Good luck duplicating.
