[BEST BUY] LG G Stylo2 (Boost) $149.99 (for RingPlus).
[bestbuy.com]
Hello this is my first post. So please be easy on me if anything is not right.

I have been following all the Ringplus posts and I know that the deadline is 4/17 which is tomorrow. So today is the last day that you can get a nice prepaid phone for the ringplus.

Boost mobile has a new LG Stylo 2 and it's available in Best Buy. The name is simply says "LG G Stylo 4G" in the Best Buy website, but the specs matches with the Boost mobile site exactly.

It's not on sale , but it is $20 cheaper than the Boost Mobile website which is showing $179.99.

CarrierBoost Mobile
Wireless Technology: 4G LTE
Operating System: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Processor Speed: 1.2 gigahertz
Internal Memory: 16 gigabytes
Screen Size: 5.7 inches
Water Resistant: No
Phone Memory (RAM): 2 gigabytes
Internet Connectable: Yes

The specs are perfect for me. 16 GB disk space and 2 GB of memory, 13 MB Camera.
I would buy this phone if I didn't buy the LG Stylo week ago . Frown

Thank you for sharing all the valuable Ringplus info everybody.

If the phone gets OTA update, you're screwed.

No way I'd drop this kind of cash for a R+ phone considering today is the last day before FED and R+'s biz model is going to go into the toilet. You could have a $150 paperweight in a few months.

You can return it if anything goes wrong.

There is nothing different on this phone compared to the first G Stylo. Not to mention this is a cdma version - cant be used on any GSM network.

FFS not EVERY phone is a "ringplus" phone.
If someone doesnt understand what can and cannot be used for R+ that's their own fault

I don't know that FED will kill them, they may well go the FreedomPop route of offering "refurb" phones, which, if they are in decent shape, can offer a much better experience. I have a Volt, Moto E (new), and a Moto X 2013 (used), and paid around $40 for all three of them. Guess which of the three offers the best smartphone experience...

That being said, that scenario is only a maybe, and I'd be leery about dropping big money on any phone for R+ until the situation becomes clearer.

I think they're going to have no choice but to do something along those lines, after tomorrow their user base of new signups is going to dry up (almost) completely.

Agreed but OP did put Ringplus in title so they can go to town in my opinion.

Actually if one has R+ as the only line and wants a 2GB/16GB phone (but not China brands like ZTE) then why not?

I actually don't get why cheap line has to pair up with a cheap phone. What's the logic?
