Groupon [groupon.com] has the FreedomPop 32GB LG G2 4G LTE Smartphone (Certified Pre-Owned) in Black on sale for $59.99. Shipping is free. Under options on the right hand side, select G2, then select Black color right above. Sale ends 4/18.

These phones aren't affected by Sprint's FED. Therefore, they will activate fine on RingPlus. I checked my Groupon-bought G2's this morning (April 17), and they activate just fine.

Specs
5.2" 1980x1080 IPS Touchscreen Display
2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core processor
2GB RAM
32GB Internal Memory
13MP rear + 2.1MP front facing cameras
3000mAh battery
Android OS v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) upgradable to Lollipop
Unlockable for use on AT&T, T-Mobile, or any GSM provider in the world. This is the custom ROM [xda-developers.com] I'm using that has GSM unlocked.

This is what I did to use my FreedomPop G2's on RingPlus:
1) Activated the phone with FP.
2) Called FP to cancel service.
3) Remove all FP apps from G2 (see app list below).
4) Activated G2 on R+
5) From G2, go to Settings, System Update, Update Profile.
6) Reboot phone.
7) Repeat step 5, but select Update PRL.
8) Reboot phone.

In lieu of step 1 and 2, I've also PM'd FreedomPop user here in slickdeals. He/she was also able to release the ESN for a couple of my G2's without having to activate/deactivate.

For those still having issues w/ using their FP phones after successful activation with R+, these are the FP apps you need to uninstall:
Freedompop Diagnostic
Messaging
MyFreedomPop
Visual Voicemail

For those having GPS issues, I installed a custom ROM [xda-developers.com] on mine. I find no issues at all.

Also, to switch from CDMA to GSM and vice versa, I didn't have to install an app. I just swap SIM cards, then changed modes in phone's mobile networks settings... Again on that same custom ROM [xda-developers.com].

Yes, they can be unlocked for GSM. I installed a custom ROM on mine to unlock GSM, and they work fine on AT&T. No LTE, however...only H and H+.

Anyone,

What kind of condition do these "used" come in? Pretty decent? Or wait for another refurb deal? Thanks.

When you're on the link, select the G2 on the right hand side. Then select black color. The same link is for the F7 and G3's if you'd rather buy those. The G3 at their price is not a good deal. I have no personal experience as far as the F7 so, I can't make a recommendation on that phone.

Luck of the draw.

You can get anything from "practically new" to "doesn't even turn on."

I bought 3 G2's from Groupon, all came in like new condition. They all came w/ Sprint SIM card, generic 2amp charger, and USB cable.

A friend received a lemon from Groupon, he just returned and re-ordered another. He received a like new condition for the replacement.

From what I've read, it can either be unlocked for GSM OR Sprint. Not both at the same time, so no easy switching back & forth. To use GSM you have to connect via USB to PC and run something on PC to unlock the GSM, and to switch back to Sprint, you have to connect to PC again to reverse the process. So someone who wants to use one service is probably fine, someone who wants to switch back & forth might prefer something else.

Awesome phone for an awesome price though.

Some can be pretty beat up. It is completely random.

Partially. If you want a GSM phone, you should just buy one. There are lots of comparable models in this price range.
