I'm in the market for some cheap surge protectors but the reviews on these are scaring me away. Anybody have experience with them?

According to the Amazon page, the box lists the clamping voltage at 500V. Spend a little more money and get something around 300V if you really want to protect what is connected to it.

My company uses the 12 outlet model for all of our workstations. There are close to 1000 in use, and I have personally never had a problem in 2 years. Buying a few of these to upgrade at home. Thanks for posting.

For the 6 outlet/2.5ft there are at least a couple reviews which state they are fire hazards one from 2010 and one from 2014, I ordered and cancelled my order based on those. Just got the 12 outlet one, which looks much better.
