Other than a momentary dip on camelcamelcamel this seems like a really solid deal if you need one. I am going camping in a month so this with my 14W charger should be enough for our 3 devices.

I would not sweat it because 50% of the time when I get a camel alert I jump on it right away and the price has already gone up.

Anyone figure out any way to use this with a Surface Pro? I am guessing with their rather proprietary charger that is a no go . . . ?

All this has are 2 USB out ports. If the Surface Pro charger can't connect to USB out, then you're out of luck.

Remember that 10+AH battery packs are very cheap too. This would be good for a 1+ week expedition beyond the reach of wall sockets, anything less is well suited with the more practical battery packs.

Alternatively, put this in your earthquake/hurricane survival kit.

A WARNING for potential buyers...many solar chargers have inadequate circuitry/charge controllers, and with changes in sunlight (clouds/intensity/etc), they aren't able to automatically resume charging at full current (speed), and require you unplug your device and then plug it back in (which largely defeats the charger's utility).

I checked before purchasing, and messaged several manufacturers regarding this common flaw among solar chargers. ALLPOWERSdirect responded to my inquiry, and confirmed these panels "may" require devices be unplugged and plugged back in...which we all know means yes, they suffer from the flaw.

The Anker solar chargers for around $17 more, however, were confirmed NOT suffer from this issue, as Anker informed me they upgraded the controllers in the newest models. You've been warned. Spend your money on a better product.

yes it work

buy this battery pack, then connect the solar panel to this battery pack to recharge it.

you really wouldn't want to charge a surface pro under the recommended power
