Was about to post this. Very nice deal!

Error in the OP, the bundle includes 430EX III-RT Speedlite instead of 430EX II. Makes the deal even hotter.

Yep. This is a great deal. The fact that it's not getting ANY love is interesting. Perhaps DSLR's (or maybe the 5D Mark III) are just not "hot" anymore.

Lot's of attention going to the mirrorless cameras. Perhaps the tide is changing.

I still love my 5DIII, though!

This is way better than the Front Page deal from Adorama last Friday IMO:

+ Canon 430EX III-RT Speedlite with Remote Transmitter (instead of the 430EX-II)
+ PRO 10 printer (instead of the PRO 100)

I have no need for the printer or the 24-105mm lens and expect to sell them off for at least ~$750+. Should leave me with the 5D Mark III and new Speedlite for under $2K

*iconian, please update the title w/ the correct 430EX II-RT flash (instead of 430EX II)

Was it about a year ago, the grey market version sold for $1899 on eBay several times. That pretty much ruined any later deal for me. Seeing that the Mark IV is coming out later this year and the Mark III is pushing four years old, it's hard to justify selling three items and doing a high value rebate to get to the price I could have had it for a year ago (albeit grey market, but I'm ok with that). I will bite if it goes for $1800 somewhere around the Mark IV release time, or I will buy one used for less.

There's actually refurb 5D3 with 1-year warranty for ~$1500+tax last year I think, but gone fast. You are right I think it's gonna drop more. Still remember the 1.9k 5DII deal when 5D III was out.

5D3 holds its value pretty good but doesn't mean it's still a good camera nowadays. I got mine like 3 years ago for $2200 refurb. If you are heavily invested in Canon glasses then go for it. Otherwise look elsewhere.

The fact that this is a 4 years old camera, and is likely to b replaced by Mark IV later this year appro. during Photokina (September) for me this is a pass. But dont get me wrong, Mark III still is a bery capable camera for both still and videoo. I would wait patiencely and save up for new model, or by then the mark iii MSRP already lower than current deal. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Probably because this is WAY more camera than the average person needs. This is a pro camera, and not really targeted for non-pro shooters. Most people are probably more than satisfied w/ a Rebel or equivalent.
