When the price for 2 TB+ ones falls enough that no one wants the 500 GB ones any more lol. Seriously, the cost per GB will continue to fall, but they really have no reason to cut the cost that dramatically any time soon imo. Maybe in a year or two a 1 TB for a decent brand will be under $200, but right now, they are hovering around 250-300 dollars and the 2 TBs are out of sight in price.

Let's put it this way - I hope your need for it isn't "urgent"... Take 2 aspirin and try in 18-24 months...Stick Out Tongue

So far from what I see $120 close to norm for this size drive. Maybe by BF they will hit double digit prices and stay there

Maybe the norm for slower and/or TLC NAND drives (no small number of which for that matter, you can get right now for just a few $$ more than $100), but MLC drives are still generally $140 or so plus...

As with anything electronic...next *insert amount of time here*...it's all going to get cheaper. Eventually you have to decide you need the item and search for the best price available at that given time. Granted things like new releases drive cost down of older inventory but, that's just common sense and applies to things like cell phones but not as much to SSDs which just continually get larger and cheaper without any major changes.
