I noticed an email from cycle gear with these boots for $119.97 and decided to see if other places had dropped prices for this too, and BOOM.

I have these boots and think they are a good basic pair of riding boots, great for the price. I got them last fall for probably $40 more than this.

From what I can recall, I went down a half size from my normal shoe size and they fit great. They aren't uncomfortable to walk around in either which is a plus for me

I had these boots over a year and the zipper stitching decided to fail. I sent back to Alpinestars to fix for $40 since they weren't under warranty. The following year the other boot's zipper decided to fail. They now wanted $60 to fix them. I can deal with the other boot not zipping the whole way up since the Velcro keeps them secure.

Besides that I really liked these boots. The airflow was great.

I decided to go with the Alpinestars Roam 2 WP boots this year since it got chilly riding in the fall.

Wow! I didn't know you could really find these anymore ever since they turned them into lace shoes. I've had these since 2013 ($143) after thousands and thousands of miles and many beating weather conditions. They're still going on strong.

Advice: How to pick a correct size. Your US size - 1.5 = A* US size. Then match your A* US size to their Euro. This will apply for men. May work for women as well. This will be like dress shoes perfect fitting. Having your toenail for your big toe grow just a tad past normal will have you start feeling the crunch. Doing 2 instead of 1.5 just didn't feel secure enough.

For me, I go down half a size (from 12 to 11.5) and then convert to Euro. I'd recommend you go to a local retailer first and see what fits.

EDIT: Anthony from Revzilla does the same conversion as me. https://youtu.be/kql3T_zW68U?t=4m20s

This will be my first pair, I wear an 8 US Men's so went with 41 Euro Men's. I hope that's not a mistake, this stuff isn't cheap even though this seems like a good deal.

Consider pricematching if you want the lower price.

Safety nerd recommends full-size boots. These won't do much, if anything, to stop your ankle for twisting or flexing in all kinds of ways. They're better than tennis shoes, though.
