I bought this deal 2 weeks ago at the same price and I have been extremely impressed by the computer considering the price. I needed a computer that could do a mix of video editing, web browsing, and light gaming at under $600, and this satisfied all of those needs. It doesn't play every game, but I can run even newer games such as Mad Max with mid-high quality settings without issue.

I never had bought an Acer before, but I am not really brand loyal so I figured I would give it a shot. So far, it's much better than I expected or heard.

I ended up opening up the laptop and adding another 8gb of RAM for an additional $28 and it runs even better now. If anyone has any specific questions I would be happy to answer.
That's a really nice deal, 8 gig RAM and the 4GB video.

True, but I think you just need to actually take care of it and not wreck it...I should read the reviews

Care to list some other games you have and the fps you get? (particularly looking for CS:GO but I can reference). Thanks!

Had an Acer S7-392 for 2 years. Upgraded to an Acer V13, had no issues with either. Sometimes the WiFi can be iffy but if I turn it off and back on it's fine. I used to hate Acer but they really are quite good now, at least in my experience. I've heard great things about the V15 Nitro, so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

How is the battery life? For normal usage (web browing, YouTube, that kind of stuff).

I am mostly an Xbox One gamer, so I don't have a ton of games to reference. Additionally, I don't have an overlay tool to show me exactly how many fps I am getting. If you have any suggestions, let me know. That being said, in the meantime I can give you a rough estimate of each game I play. I play every game with medium settings (unless otherwise noted), optimized by NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

Metro 2033 (closer to 60fps)
Biochock Infinite (closer to 60fps)
Crysis 3 (Low-mid settings, 60fps)
Mad Max (closer to 60fps)
Quantum Break (ran terribly until I switched to low settings, closer to 30fps)

I don't think it would have any struggle playing counter strike at 60fps, considering the other games I have played with no issue, but I could be wrong.

Battery life is pretty good, especially standby battery life. Without gaming, the battery probably lasts around 6-8 hours at low-med brightness, which is plenty for indoors. It might last longer, to be honest I haven't ever had to charge it more than once every few days unless I am gaming.

It also starts up from boot to login screen in about 4-5 seconds, likely due to the SSD.

I was going to pull the trigger last time but was a little concerned about battery life.. What has your experience been with General usage (non gaming)? Thanks!!

Never mind! Saw that you just answered above! Thanks!

But your'e paying 570 for everything else. Obviously its not a high end gaming laptop. You can barely buy a 980 ti for the price of this laptop. I don't understand why you're bringing up the obvious that it wont play AAA games at good settings. This is great for the casual gamer who wants a all in one and not be stuck with a 1,000 + laptop brick that will depreciate worse than a Kia.
