Nice but why does it come with Windows 7? Is it an older machine?

How does the quadro range stack up for gaming? Are they any close to any of the 900M series? Sorry, I have no idea on the performance of the quadro series of graphics.

It's Windows 7 because it's a "Pro" laptop for graphic design and video editing. Very few businesses have upgraded to W10.

This is a beast of a machine, and the graphics card will be adequate for gaming, but the quadro series are built for throughout more than speed so it's not going to be like a 970m or anything.

From the few gaming numbers I could find, for gaming it looks like it is around a GT 930m or 940m. Good enough for decent gaming but don't expect it to blow you away.

Performance

The performance is similar to the old Quadro K2000M and clearly superior to the Quadro K1000M. This places the K1100M in range of the consumer GeForce GT 740M and GT 645M GPUs. Most demanding games of 2013 will run fluently with medium details and resolutions.

This has a much beefier processor, 16 gigs of ram and 512 gigs of PCIe SSD but the one you mentioned has a 256 gig mSATA one.
