5.1 was supposedly "just around the corner" for these phones for what seemed like ages and it was never delivered. I won't trust Asus' word on 6.0 until they actually deliver.

I have been using a Zenfone 2 for over 6 months now and while it is a powerful and snappy phone, there are numerous bugs and design issues that are really annoying (SIM card stops being recognized often, possibility of bricking the phone if connecting to PC USB port, ghost touching and screen tearing becoming issues on many phones, etc.). I really regret my purchase and, short of some absolute major changes, would never consider another Asus phone.

Is the case actually textured like that or is it just a print? Looks cool either way.

For an North America model, it doesn't have all the LTE bands like band 12 for T-Mobile.

You're right.

Evidently, band 12 seems to be the only one missing, which seems odd given that this version of this phone is designed solely for the North American (US, Canada, Mexico) market.

I found this detailed info, fyi:

Supported cell bands/frequencies of this model phone:

2.5G (GSM/GPRS) MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900

3.5G (HSPA+, UMTS/WCDMA) MHz: 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100

4G (LTE ) Bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20

4 gigabytes of ram makes this faster than 50% of the laptops and desktops out there. this translates to "you will hardly ever see the message 'android stopped unexpectedly'.

I got a Xperia Z2 last year for about same price as this one (375) and it has 3Gb ram and only 16GB memory. with 128 Gb, you can install 100s of apps, store tons of images.

Isn't Phone ram slower than PC ram tho?? And I rarely see any Desktops with less than 4 gigs of ram.

I may be in a market for a new phone... this is tempting

yes iPhone boasts only 2 Gb of ram in the 6s (see http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/26...firmed-2gb). only newer laptops and desktops are coming with minimum 4 gig ram. if you haven't upgraded in the last 4 years or so, it will be under 4 gig. I have a old laptop thats 3 Gb, new one with 16 Gb ram.
