Some devices cannot use wireless charger directly, which should be used with a Qi-compatible receiver. (For exmaple: Nikia 720, Nokia 820, Iphone 5/6/6s, Note3/4,S3/4/5,LG3/4)

Description from Amazon:
  • Using a 2A adapter for the best results, NOT using power source from computer, because the output from computer is only 500-800mA
  • Wireless Charging: Just place down the phone or any QI-enabled device on the charger, no cables or USB interface required
  • Intelligent Display: Multi-colored LED lights indicates charging status. The built-in LED indicator light will change from blue to green to alert you if the device is not properly aligned
  • Ergonomic Design: Built-in holder stand design, which you can keep playing or reading on the phone while charging and answer a call without having to unplug. Portable, the bracket design makes it easy to see the screen
  • Fast Charge Support: Different from the single-coil wireless pad, built-in three coils offer much wider charging area to place phone in the center of the charger, also, saves time on waiting phone getting fully charged
  • Compatiable for Samsung S6/S6 Edge(Plus)/Note 5,Nexus 4/5/6/7(2013),Nokia Lumia 920/928,MOTO Droid Maxx/Mini,HTC Droid DNA, Sony Xperia Z4v,LG and all QI-Enabled Device

Anyone have experience with this and a Nexus 6 (not 6p)? The wife has a 6 with a slim case and claims it is pretty fickle on wireless chargers.

I have this similar charger http://www.amazon.com/urlhasbeenb...B010B6PSMC

with a Nexus 6 in this case http://www.amazon.com/Spigen(R)-M...B00OH4HOOA

and have had no issues with mine charging, either on that or on my JBL BT Speaker with Qi charger built in the top. The part the phone sits on, although looking like a curved holder in the pic, is actually only curved on the bottom and flat on top. The phone just sits on top of the ledge

Not really. I have a nexus 6 which charges with even the thicker cases.
I bought a floureon from ebay for 20 bucks. (offer)
Works like a charm w my nexus 6.
You need a charger w 3 coils. the one coil chargers are more finicky to use.

I bought this for $25 a few months back and use it every day with my Note 5. Works great! sits on my desk at work, charge while I listen to music all works good.

Thanks for the input. I'll give this one a shot. I think you are right about the 3 coil. I got her a flat one coil and she has a hard time getting it on the right spot and then not knocking it off during the night - I think just a bump on the nightstand can jostle it enough for it to lose connection. I'm hoping this cradle will keep it in place better.

Seems like this drops to $20 fairly often. In fact it looks like they just recently raised the price by about the same amount of this promo code

Not much of a hot deal here, though I do like the design of this if it works well. Sort of a dock/stand where most wireless chargers are just flat

Why is this so expensive. Is there any difference (other than you can dock your phone) compared to this $9.99?

One coil vs three. Plus it's a stand.
I have one similar to what you linked but am interested in one with more coils (so it's easier to place the phone, don't have to be as precise) and a stand (so I can see my phone while it's charging if I'm listening to music or have something up).

You pay double for the convenience really. If you don't have a wireless charger, get a cheaper one to see if you like it. You'll eventually want to upgrade if you decide it's for you.

I still only use mine at work since I haven't found a Samsung phone that doesn't turn the screen on when it's done charging, so you get blinded in the middle of the night if you have it charging on your nightstand since the phone lays on its back.
