I had these and the strings that hold the mesh to the chair broke within 3 months. I do live in the desert though

I don't have this particular brand, but I do own a few other brands that were bought at a similar price over the past couple years. They're actually pretty decent, IMO. They've held up well, though I wouldn't recommend leaving them outside - cheaply coated steel parts will rust if left exposed to the elements. FWIW, the different "brands" I have appear nearly identical.

But they're pretty comfortable, and they seem a lot more durable than the <$10 "bag chairs".
I would recommend the "king size" version if you're ~6' or taller and if you'll use this a lot. I'm 6'1", and the regular size is OK (definitely better than any other folding camp chair I've tried), but the extra large is better. Of course it's also $10-20 more expensive, heavier, and bulkier, so you pick the trade-offs.

HTH!

Thanks, but I'd prefer to stay on my patio and not fly away.

Not the desert. We have one indoors in a game room (I find it really comfy so I keep it inside) and I can sit on it no problem but when my hubs sat on it the strings snapped and it broke Frown. I weigh 110 and he weighs 175 so some people might want to reconsider if they weigh more than 110, lol. I have the chairs from kohls, don't know how different they are from these, but I'm pretty sure that these chairs have string too.

These have lasted pretty good for me in the past, but I end up giving them to others because they seem to like them. I've never had one break yet, and I'm 6' 220lbs. I do agree they will start rusting if left outside. I just ordered 4 more for my friend's new pool and deck. Only color left is black though.

Are the king size ones from the same seller?

8. Mine won't stay locked with any weight on it, so you slowly start creeping backwards. It's a pain in the @$$. Same with both of the ones I received.

If I had to do it again, I'd splurge for the brand name chairs in King size. I just prefer the extra room.
