Meh. What are the odds your current modem will fail before prices drop even lower? Or an even more advanced one falls to the same price before you actually need to put a replacement into service?

Will they pricematch if I go to a local gamestop and get it in person?

(or they wouldn't carry it in store?)

Have the 6141 right now. Thinking about getting a spare at this price in case existing fails.

Great prices. Only thing for me is that they are not 16 channel, and are therefore limited to 100mbs down on TWC...

I'm using the 6141 and have only 100mbps internet so I wouldn't know if it can go higher. But according to Motorola's site: "Download speeds up to 343 Mbps"

That's true. However, I can live without many things but need uninterrupted Internet at home. Wink so it's just insurance.

The SBG6580 is a router in addition to being a modem. The SB6141 is a modem only.

Nice but as another said I want higher end. I have a 6141 and that maxes at 100mbit with time warner. I only have 30mbit but we're getting the upgrade in 2 weeks which will take me to 200mbit plan. I need a 6183 or even better a 6190.

6141 is 8 channels downstream
6183 is 16 channels downstream
6190 is 32 channels downstream

Time warner won't go above 100mbit on 8 channel even though the modem is capable of it.
