My Mom is already in her 80s so I'm frankly not worried about it shortening her life that much.

Adding fat to keep food from sticking to non-non-stick cookware is also a known health hazard. Getting in your car is a known health hazard - life is full of hazards. It's about risk management and risk mitigation, and deciding for yourself what risks are worth taking and which ones aren't. Smilie

Yup. And based on the majority of the Amazon reviews, this is a neat little gizmo.

In for 2 (for an extra 15% off the 2nd unit, making that one $51). One for me, and one for Mother's Day.

Sure, if you overheat it, so don't put your new cooker in the oven on high?? Danger abounds...

I've used this oven for the past 2 years and LOVE IT. I probably use it more than my regular oven as it's the perfect size for 1-2 people. It heats up fast and works as well as a larger oven but uses less energy and takes little room on the counter. One of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever purchased.

I'm temped to buy another as a backup...I need to stay strong!

Is this any better than a toaster oven?

I've been using this for years and it's been a wonder:

Yep, cooking things at 500° in a stove only capable of 450° is definitely hazardous. /rolleyes
