oneida seems to have a "sale" every week

just noticed something, some of the items, like the dinnerplates (set of 6) x2 is cheaper than the same dinnerplates (set of 12) x1
example:
set of 6 for $11.99
http://www.oneida.com/anchro-hock...rched=true

set of 12 for $39.99
http://www.oneida.com/anchor-hock...rched=true

same plates but if you buy 2x (6pc set), $23.98 vs 1x (12pc set) for $39.99

Can anyone comment on how well the Onida silverware holds up for regular use?

You might want to ask how Anchor Hocking flatware holds up, since that is what is featured in the OP.

Totally different than Oneida, and even with Oneida, there are several different lines, varying from pretty poor 18/0 stainless to very good to great 18/10 stainless.

If you are in fact asking about "Oneida" flatware, you will need to be more specific - pattern, etc. because they all seem to hold up differently.

I've had a set of the cheap ones for 20 years and they've held up great. I think people must leave them in the sink for days unwashed in water. idk, if you're a slob get the 18/10, or just get a new set every few years, they're so cheap

bought a couple of sets last year, they are decent for cheap flatware. Don't expect them to be heavy or not to bend under pressure, but they have held up well so far.

We've been using a set of 18/10 Oneida silverware for 10 years and it looks practically new. No rust stains and the silverware doesn't bend like others I have used in other homes.

I've got a 25 year old discontinued set of oneida stainless. I was pricing replacing some of my missing pieces and not having any luck finding them for less than $20 a piece. It may be time to buy a few new sets and sell what I have left of my old ones to people trying to complete their old sets.

Thanks! I'm in for two sets! For $28 you can beat the price.

I ordered Anchor Hocking Zone II 20 Piece Casual Flatware Set... I think the set is solid but I'm just looking at the pics.
