iOS alerts not working

waeld47 3 10 April 21, 2016 at 04:51 PM
I have several alerts set up and only sparingly get mobile alert on my iPhone 6. Notifications are all turned on within the app and in Notification Center of the the phone. I've tried deleting and re installing the app and have you used more than one user profile, but to no avail. Any one have ideas or what I can try? Thanks in advance.

Is this still an issue for you? Reach out to us if so - one suggestion is to ensure that the notification type is turned on correctly in the deal alert. We had an issue some time ago with a conflicting desktop setting that has since been resolved, so hoping you are no longer experiencing the issue. Let us know, thanks!

iOS 9.3.2, same problem, never get deal alert notifications, email is the only one that works. In fact, when setting up the alert options in the app, "Notification" never sticks, after selecting it, it won't stay set. .. Deal Alert Notifications turned on in the SD app, Allow Notifications for SD app turned on in iOS. .. Just for clarification, selecting "Notification" in the Deal Alert setup is the setting that should generate an iOS notification, correct? ... I assume "Mobile" will send a SMS Text, correct?

Hi - Really sorry because this functionality in the app is incredibly unclear and we are going to fix it. 'Mobile' will send you a push notification. 'Notification' (and brace yourself, this is where it makes no sense in the app) will send you a desktop notification. Again, we are fixing this. It is currently this way because when we launched redesign we had a rule of 1:1 parity with desktop so that no functionality was inadvertently lost in translation.

Good news is we have a totally redesigned Deal Alerts experience coming your way very soon, which will include more straightforward options for your alerts. Hope that helps and apologies for the inconvenience.
