Contrary to OP's claim, the specs of this tablet are not identical to the Chuwi Hi8 Pro.

The Hi8 Pro enjoys USB Type-C and a slightly bigger battery.

Hi8 Pro bugs aside and in terms of only specs, the advantage this Teclast has is superior eMMc. Chuwi is notorious for using the cheapest chips. That said, anyone buying either one is still playing the Chinese tablet lottery, so good luck...

The jump from 2gb to 4gb is big becuase windows 10 is a free license for devices with under 4gb of ram... on a 4gb device, you have to tack on the price of a full windows license which I dont think you will see on a cheapo chinese devices. thats why the dell 5855 and the hp 608 (both 8" devices with FHD and 4gb ram) all start at $450+

When will they make one of these (cheap 8 inch) with 4gigs of ram. I have an older atom z3735f with 2gigs and can't justify an upgrade without a boost in ram.
Any technologies things not from China ?

Oh, I regret buying Hi8 pro. This X80 Pro looks cheaper and solid.

It's hard to tell when this tablet will actually ship. I ordered it a few days ago, and the estimated shipping date has slipped from 4-22 to 4-29.

I saw this last night and almost bit. Major issues have been reported though on the X98 Pro I really wanted and I'm scared. Being a Chinese tablet, if something goes wrong, you are SOL, screwed,a and out out of luck!

What the heck...I bit!

Does anyone have one of these? The screens look kind of crap in videos. They lack vividness.

It is $100...I'm not made out of money, but losing $100 won't keep me up at night IF that it what happens.

Honestly, your older tablet probably has similar speed. The lower resolution panel is also better for playing games. No need to upgrade. I know, I have a Chuwi V8 with the same specs.

Also, I think Chuwi makes a pro version of this kind of tablet with 4gb, but it is much more expensive, almost twice the price.
