OP didn't put it in the title, but quote "Earth Day Promo: Trade in your used PC, Tablet, Phone or Gaming Hardware and get a bonus $50 Dell promo eGiftCard". Dell promo cards expire after 90 days fyi.

Good luck actually receiving your gift card and then finding something to use it on. Dell is awful to deal with.

Never had a problem receiving the card (re-rolled 3-6 times annually for 2+ year, finally decided to get out of the cycle). I got some xbox live currency which is just as good as cash to me. I got my money's worth out of them and will attempt to do the same here!

Too bad their products suck and break so i have to manually fix them just (enough) to trade them back in Wink

My 2011 XPS laptop would actually give me $90 + $50 ($140) if it worked. That's pretty good, actually, for a 5-year old well-used laptop that I bought as a refurb from Dell at the time. Unfortunately the vid output to the LCD or the LCD itself is screwed-up (just gives me a half gray - half-black screen). The dang thing still works great if I want to use it as a "desktop" with vid output by HDMI or DisplayPort (this one had both outputs, and GeForce mobile video and can support 2 monitors. Pretty bitchin' for the time. But again now it's useless as a laptop. I can't blame them for not paying for a broken laptop. So anyway the deal doesn't work for me on this either, but for someone with a more "premium" (like this XPS) working laptop there might be a good trade-in deal (2009 seems to be the cut-off for all computers).

Also an iPad 1st gen 32G with 3G is worth $10+50 [it seems other 1st gens also go for this]. Tempted to trade-in my 1-st gen iPad for $60. [Edit: I originally said a 16G WiFi-only wasn't eligible, but it is!! I must have picked some incorrect options. I might trade in non-3G one.]

If you're going to trade in a laptop and are wanting a Dell laptop, Microsoft is currently running a trade-in promo:

http://slickdeals.net/f/8636382-receive-up-to-400-minimum-200-for-trade-in-old-laptop-when-you-buy-a-qualifying-dell-laptop-at-the-microsoft-store

They do have requirements that need to be met for the laptop being traded in, but 200 from MS for my first-gen HP Envy 14 is a lot better than the 55+50 from Dell
