I bought this the last time around. The jumping capacity is really weak, I should have bought the one with higher amps.

I would not recommend this one.
This Starter has been posted before here. Not sure if the price same or different. From my recollection, the reviews were ok, but then down-turned into a discussion about whether it was worth it to spend more money to get something more reliable and arguments that people should have a device that could start a 747 Jet Engine Aircraft. The air compressor was the biggest problem as people said it was weak.
This sounds like it makes it worth the price all by itself! I've seen more than a few people I wouldn't mind targeting with this service... Evil
Probably have to request the service with a burner phone though to be safe... Whistling

Worked great for my Subaru Outback when my battery died. Also a handy tire inflator for the winter. Also, I bought two - neither had the card for the roadside assistance subscription, and support couldn't help, so don't count on getting that.

I'm more interested in the roadside assistance portion of the package as my current plan renews next month at over a $100 for the year. Anyone have experience with this?

I've had had this for about a year. I used it about 2-3x week to jump start my Corolla (battery & starter ) issues. It would crank right up, sometimes needed 2x cranks to get it going. Overall very satisfied with it. I replaced my battery and starter 2 months ago so haven't needed it yet. I would recommend for a small mid size car

Out of curiosity, what does your $100+ plan include?

I've been always using Roadside assistance service from my auto insurance company (Progressive) and if I remember correctly, I'm paying like $15-20 a year extra for 2 vehicles covered.

I had to use a tow truck once to tow my car to a repair shop ~2 miles from where I got stuck and it was fully covered. Haven't used anything else though.

Jumped so far
Nissan Murano
E350 Mercedes
Acura Rsx
Isuzu Pickup

8 tires inflated to specs

inflating is pretty slow.

great product for the money.

My experience with 1000+ amps Schumacher jumpstarter is quite mixed. It looks like it deteriorates quickly over time - I bought it when I got a used car that stood still for a year or so and had a fully discharged battery. When the jumpstarter was new, it managed to start pretty much any car I used it on almost instantly.

Fast forward almost 2 years - I see how much weaker it is now. Few weeks ago I tried to help a guy in a small Hyundai in a parking lot and my jumpstarter didn't even crank his starter (and no, I try maintaining the charge regularly and it has been showing 80%+ charge). It still works okay as a pump, but it looks like the lifespan of battery in it is quite limited (probably 1-2 years max).

Maybe it's time to simply get a new one and move on Smilie

Would this work for a car with a 700CCA battery or is it too small?
