CPO on eBay has the Ryobi ZRRY141600 1600psi 1.2gpm 13amp reconditioned electric pressure washer [ebay.com] for $70 FS. Tax in CA and GA.

Manufacturer refurbished with 1 year warranty. 60-Day Money Back Guarantee by CPO (free return shipping if defective). CPO is a well known power tool seller.

- Roll cage frame design "canister style" with 4 roller wheels (not tippy upright style like some other washers out there).
- 20 ft. non-marring high pressure hose will not leave scuffs on the job
- 1 qt. on-board detergent tank for hassle-free cleaning
- professional metal spray wand with quick-connect coupler for easy nozzle changes
- on-board accessory storage for user convenience
- includes 3 quick-connect nozzles (15?, soap and turbo) for cleaning a variety of surfaces

Link [homedepot.com] to new product on HD for $120 with 4.4/5.0 average rating from 203 reviews.
Link [amazon.com] to reconditioned product on Amazon (also sold by CPO) for $85 with 4.2/5.0 average rating from 21 reviews.
Manufacturer product page [ryobitools.com].

ADD: credit to laundromatt: The same reconditioned washer [homedepot.com] on HD for $75 (tax in more states, 90-day return, same 1y warranty, HD CB/reward/GC use possible).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

It's $74 at Home Depot. And easier to return if necessary.

It was the first problem I encountered when I borrowed a cheap upright style electric pressure washer to use. The 2-wheeled washer wasn't particularly stable when standing. The water inlet was at the rear bottom and outlet at the front bottom so it could not be leaned back. It toppled quite a few times as I was paying more attention to the work area and reaching the last corner rather than the hose length Smilie.

I've also used a canister style washer before but it didn't have wheels so like the upright I had to walk back and forth and reposition the washer to clean a large area. With rollers and a loose inlet garden hose I suppose I could nudge the washer over a wider area/path (maybe tie a short rope between the outlet hose and washer frame to reduce strain at the hose connector, a common point of failure). A 20 foot high pressure hose isn't that long as I've discovered esp. when washing walls/sidings. The washer got used only a handful of times a year so a hose extension (and the extra garage clutter) wasn't justified. The Ryobi seem more idiot/abuse-proof as I know relatives and neighbors will borrow it without my supervision or level of care.

Thanks for the link. Can't believe I missed that while searching HD. For those outside CA/GA, CPO@eBay does facilitate for state sales tax evasion doesn't charge tax.

The Home Depot unit has a 90 day return period and 1 year Ryobi warranty (it was mentioned in several places on the HD page). The CPO@eBay unit has a 60 day return period (free return shipping if defective or incorrect item) and 1 year Ryobi warranty. Both HD and CPO are selling the same mfr reconditioned unit, sourced from Ryobi with model number "ZRRY141600"

FYI, Ryobi has authorized service centers around the nation and I believe HD will service them too (or contract them out to a 3rd party, correct me if I'm wrong). In comparison, Amazon's most popular brand, AR Blue Clean, has no service center. You have to send it to their CA location (easily $40+) after store return period (30 days if bought from Amazon, 90 days from HD, etc). Fortunately AR Blue Clean is quite reliable judging from reviews, compared to, say, Snap-On branded washers with disastrous Amazon reviews.

The Ryobi uses a 1/4" quick connect coupler and is compatible with the $31 Homelite surface cleaner [homedepot.com] (of note, Ryobi and Homelite are made by the same company). There is also a $30 Ryobi branded surface cleaner [homedepot.com] but it's not yet in stock at HD. Too bad the cheaper $20 AR_Blue_Clean surface cleaner doesn't seem to be compatible.

Did they just solve a problem that didn't really exist?

If anyone cares, it does a decent job but it's not gas powered. Think Honda Insight more than Tesla Model S. I used it on my fence and ran it all day long for 3 days with not a problem. It's super easy to work with.

Is the reconditioned part something to be worried about?

Rolled the dice on this one. I usually never buy refurbished things especially an item that rarely last a season or two. So if it lasts this summer and dies, at least I won't be out $120 or more. I guess we'll see how well it has been reconditioned. Thanks OP.

Can anyone offer advice on this versus a new Sun Joe SPX1000 1450 PSI 1.45 GPM 11.5-Amp for roughly the same price ($77)?

Mostly need something for our vinyl siding, although I'm sure it would see other use (but probably not concrete, so I don't think we need a gas unit?). It seems like something in this range should be fine, though?

Have this for over a year. Well satisfied, works well for light jobs.
