What's the regular price of these? Also it looks like that is the online price.

Normally $99.99 in store and on Amazon.

$129.99 is Lowes.com shipped price... $69.30 or less w/ coupon when you order online and pickup at a store with stock available at this price. Prices differ from Lowe's to Lowe's, especially when things get marked down.

Never understood why anyone would prefer Ooma to Obi+GoogleVoice for much lower price...

Not sure if a stupid question but what does it do basically? I see two near me but not sure if it's something I actually need.

Its used as VOIP phone landline. Similar to Vonage but this one cost less than that and includes free USA , Cananda Calling. It charges only tax which comes between $3-5 depending on where do you live.
Call quality is good on this and it works on your internet. Lot of people uses Google voice in stead of this. If you ask me personally then i don't have landline since last 2 years. I use only mobile.

Let us know how you feel after Google randomly kills off the free calling or Obi integration.

Google Voice with Obi has been working for me for years. Giving that with Ooma you pay $50 more initial amount and $3-4 tax a month. That easily comes out to hundred dollar saving just for the first year. And I don't see Google Voice + Obi combination dying anytime soon

I can tell you I just bought this damn Ooma today for $99, not because I wanted to but because it was all they had I stock at Best Buy. I went in looking for an Obi. May just buy the Obi off Amazon and use this in the meantime and return.

So I was thinking... If you use google voice with this how do they still charge you a monthly bill? That is stupid.

I've had Ooma (the original) for I'm guessing close to 6 years now (maybe more). Best investment for me ever.

But you pay a monthly bill still, while Obi is free. What am I missing?
