PS4 compatible? Thickness?

This looks like the thickest hard drive ive ever seen. Thicker than my old 2TB WD.

I have this right next to my (older) WD 2TB My Passport. Seagate is for all intents and purposes the same thickness, 1/8 inch narrower and 1/4 inch longer.

From what I know, Seagate uses Samsung drives. Atleast thats what was in my 2tb external drives.

Seagate bought Samsung's HD business (or at least a part of it) awhile ago I believe. If it were the other way around, I might consider it, but since Seagate is in control, all it likely means is they cheapened everything up on the Samsung side as well. Seagate has a bad rep on drive quality and simply put, in my mind, will never recover from that. Once you have a bad rep when it comes to data reliability, it sticks with you for a very long time imo. There is a reason why their warranties are mostly shorter and their prices cheaper than WD imo.
