A better deal on the Flood/Dimmables are at ShopRite.

Costco has the same light bulbs but Feit Brand for 10$ for a pack of 10. Why would this be a better deal or bulb?

$1 for LED bulbs? What city? Often times local electricity companies will give rebates. Perhaps thats why it was so cheap near you?

Why not? 850 lumens does seem overly bright

Warm white kills it for me, looking for 5000K.

It would be nice to add the store name to the title for in-store pickup deals.

bulb bulb bulb Nice find OP, repped! bulb bulb bulb

Staples best previous prices when these went on sale has been $3.99 and $5.99 respectively. I've used these Brighton LED bulbs for years and to date have never had one fail. Besides being dimmable, they are also suitable for use in damp locations (but not intended for use in enclosed fixtures or fixtures exposed directly to weather or water). I've used both the Flood and the A19 bulbs in enclosed indoor and outdoor fixtures, and in exposed outdoor floodlight sockets under eaves, often in excess of 18 hours per day.. sometimes 24/7.. and I'm yet to experience a failure. They don't get hot to the touch, and I do live in the deep south where frequent thunderstorms, heavy rains and high humidity are common.

Each bulb's item listing page does say 'Limit 5 per customer'. I've found that once added to your shopping cart with max quantity of 5.. you can then adjust the quantity up to 10 on each and still receive the same discounts per item. The shopping cart actually reflects 'Limit of 10' for each item. Quantities in excess of 10 will be added at the normal prices ($5.99 and $7.99 respectively).

I haven't tried placing more than one order because last week I was in Savannah, GA for a conference and visited a Staples store there to use a 25% back in rewards in-store coupon for something else. While there I saw these same LED bulbs on sale in-store only for what was always their normal on sale prices ($3.99 and $5.99), but the on-sale event had ended April 14th, nearly a couple weeks ago. I showed the out-dated on-sale signs to the manager, who then allowed me to buy all he had on the shelf at the expired sale price. I got 14 A19 bulbs and 8 Floods and was able to get 25% back in rewards on my in-store expired sale prices purchase.

That was a still a good deal for me considering these new current sale prices were not yet in effect and are valid from 4/24 through 4/30, while supply lasts. It has been very common for Staples to show Out Of Stock (OOS) for online purchases after only a day or two when they go on sale (the supply never seems to last!).

In my case, I won't be needing any more for a good while now. I've had two homes switched over to these bulbs for nearly two years with zero failures experienced to date. I've seen a huge decrease in my monthly electric bills for both homes. These bulbs will easily pay for themselves within 3-6 months of use by the subsequent decreases in monthly electric bill charges vs using CFL or incandescent bulbs. For me, it has been a no-brainer, but as with almost anything.. YMMV.

I have about 30 of these in my house. This is a great price. Just above warm white, can dim exceptionally low and no buzzing.

Likely subsidized by your local electricity provider.
