Excellent price since it is so subsidized by middle east goverments. This is the reason Delta stopped non stop service from ATL. They simply couldn't compete with gvmt subsidized airline routes.

I'm surprised it's not even cheaper since oil is basically free in these countries.

Not true about Delta canceling that flight due to competition and lack of profit. The ATL-DXB route was almost always full due to many US government passengers traveling to and from the Middle East who fall under the Fly America Act and have to take US carriers as far as possible. Delta was trying to make a political point about the Gulf airlines, not for business reasons.
